Arsene Wenger: Arsenal cut replacements down to three with Germany scoured for successor

Arsenal will lose Wenger at the end of the season with the Frenchman confirming his departure today.

Express Sport understands the Gunners are yet to settle on a successor with many household names being tipped to take over.

However, the Daily Mail say Arsenal have narrowed the list down to three potential names.

Thomas Tuchel, Joachim Low and Brendan Rodgers are all in the frame to take over.

It is said Arsenal’s board are particularly keen on Tuchel and Low.

Tuchel has been out of work since leaving Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season.

Reports in France say he is closing in on the PSG job, with Unai Emery set to leave.

However, Tuchel could yet become Arsenal manager with the Gunners impressed by his managerial nous.

Low, meanwhile, is another leading candidate.

The 58-year-old has spent over a decade in charge of Germany and may pursue a new challenge after the World Cup in Russia.

Yet the Daily Mail say Rodgers is another name liked by the Arsenal board.

The former Liverpool boss has spent the last two seasons at Celtic, steering them to the cusp of a second straight Scottish Premiership title.

And Hoops majority shareholder Dermot Desmond has already said they will not stop Rodgers taking the Arsenal job if he wants it.
