An amusing moment was caught on camera following Arsenal’s pre-season matchup with Bayern Munich yesterday afternoon.
Gunners win
The European giants went head-to-head in an International Champions Cup tie in China yesterday, with Arsene Wenger’s side eventually emerging victorious following a penalty shootout.
The game itself had ended all-square after 90 minutes in the sweltering Shanghai heat, with Alex Iwobi’s header deep into injury-time cancelling out an early Robert Lewandowski penalty.
Gunners jab
The shootout itself saw young goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez prove the hero for the Premier League side, saving two penalties to guide his side to victory.
Only one Arsenal player missed a spot-kick, in the form of Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny, a stat which Gunners teammate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain keenly alluded to following the match.
