After losing two friendlies against heavyweights Portugal and Greece in March as part of preparations for the 2018 World Cup, Egypt national team have dropped two positions in April’s FIFA global rankings, down to 46th place.

The Pharaohs are fifth among African countries and third among Arab countries, after Tunisia and Morocco. Tunisia jumped 9 places to (14) with Senegal at (28), Congo DR (38) and Morocco (42).

Egypt’s national team lost the two friendlies 2-1 against Portugal and 1-0 against Greece as part of a training camp in Switzerland.
