According to reports, Everton believe that they have a 50% chance of signing Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud.
Giroud was mainly used as a substitute by the Gunners last season and the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette at the club at the club for a club record £52 million is likely to further reduce his chances of regular first team action next season.
With the Toffees top scorer from last season, Romelu Lukaku, having joined Manchester United, Ronald Everton boss Ronaldo Koeman will need to bring in new quality strikers to replace the Belgian.
Giroud has plenty of experience and is a proven scorer at the highest level; hence he would be a good fit for the club as they aim to finish in the top four next season.
The Frenchman will also need to play regularly if he wishes to be part of the France team that plays in the 2018 World Cup.
