Enyimba goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa was forced out of the rescheduled Premier League clash at Kwara United after he suffered an ankle injury in Ilorin, according to sportandstudy.org
Reports from Ilorin said the injury looked serious as he had to be helped out of the pitch.
He now looks set to at least miss his club’s CAF Confederation Cup playoff return leg match in Calabar against Bidvest Wits of South Africa.
Ezenwa is one of three goalkeepers expected to make Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr’s squad for the Russia 2018 World Cup in June.
He is expected to be named on a 30-man provisional squad to the World Cup, which has to be submitted latest May 14.
