MANCHESTER CITY and Southampton could reportedly complete a stunning swap deal this summer.
Man City and Southampton are eyeing a Kelechi Iheanacho for Ryan Bertrand swap deal
City striker Kelechi Iheanacho is currently attracting plenty of interest.
The Sun claim Southampton have joined the race for the 20-year-old along with West Ham, Everton and Leicester.City value their young ace at £25m and new Saints boss Mauricio Pellegrino is after a forward for next season.
Southampton are, however, unsure over City’s hefty valuation of the Nigerian.
And The Sun report that City are keen to sell Iheanacho to Southampton if Ryan Bertrand is thrown into the deal.
A City source told The Sun: “Southampton are now part of a long list of clubs that want Kelechi this summer.
“If the right offer comes in, he will go, and Ryan Bertrand is an option that has been talked about in the past.
“We know Saints are fans of Nacho after his performances against them in the past, he has an amazing record.”
West Ham have been heavily linked with Iheanacho in recent weeks and Starsport understand they are willing to shell out £20m on him.
Everton, meanwhile, are closing in on Malaga forward Sandro Ramirez, suggesting it’s unlikely they would go in for Iheanacho as well.
