Newcastle United have had a bid for Jacob Murphy accepted by Norwich City.
The club had previously had an £8million offer rejected by the Championship side.
But talks between the two clubs continued over the weekend.
And Newcastle have today had an improved offer for the 22-year-old, thought to be £10million plus add-ons, accepted by Norwich.
Murphy, a boyhood United fan, will now discuss personal terms with the club.
If, as expected, Murphy agrees a contract with Newcastle he will become the club’s third summer signing.
Murphy caught Rafa Benitez’s eye last season when he scored two goals against United in the Championship.
