Arsenal Football Club has not been a happy place this season. The club’s atmosphere has turned toxic as the club has dropped from low point to low point. Arsene Wenger’s side sit 6th in the Premier League and have almost no chance of qualifying for the Champions League through their league position. The only saving grace for those associated with the Gunners is the Europa League. After beating AC Milan in the round-of-sixteen, Arsenal face CSKA Moscow in the last eight as they chase a spot in the Champions League next season.
Two years ago, the fans would’ve been adamant that Iwobi plays a role in their European run, although now it’s a very different story for the 21-year-old. The fans have lost their faith with Iwobi as they’d rather see Ainsley Maitland-Niles or Reiss Nelson don the famous red and white over the Nigerian. Iwobi does have one thing to look forward to, however, as he’s a shoe-in to be going to Russia with the Nigerian national team. Iwobi and co have been drawn against Argentina (again), Croatia and Iceland as they’ll hope to make their mark in Russia.
