According to reports from the Daily Mirror, Manchester United are set to offer Luke Shaw a new contract soon.
Luke Shaw joined Manchester United from Southampton in a deal worth of around £33million during the summer of 2014 and given the huge investment on the then teenager, a lot was understandably expected of the left-back.
Unfortunately though, Shaw has failed to make much of an impact during his time at Old Trafford so far owing to a number of serious injuries and having failed to impress manager Jose Mourinho last season, there was speculation that the Englishman could be sold this summer.
However in reports from the Daily Mirror, it has been claimed that Mourinho wants to keep hold of Shaw and the Red Devils are now set to offer the 22-year-old a new contract extension as his current deal of around £130,000-per-week is set to expire within the next year.
Despite his struggles at Old Trafford over the past three seasons, Shaw has time on his side and he can still go on to become a top player for United if he can remain injury free.
