Suso may have struggled to make an impact at Liverpool, but the 23-year-old attacking midfielder has revitalised his career at AC Milan.
The Spaniard, who can also operate as a winger, scored seven goals and provided nine assists in 34 Serie A appearances for Milan last season, according to WhoScored.
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the former Spain Under-21 international in the summer transfer window, with IBTimes UK reporting of the North London outfit’s interest in him last month.
Last week, talkSPORT reported that Tottenham are ready to offer £19 million to Milan in order to secure the services of Suso.
According to Goal.com Italia, Milan have rejected bids from Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen for the Spaniard. The two German club’s offers were reportedly below what the Italian giants are looking for – €25m (£21.93m).
It seems that Tottenham are just under £3m short of what Milan are asking for Suso. If Pochettino wants the attacker and Milan are open to the idea of selling him, then Spurs chairman Daniel Levy should pay the extra £3m needed in order to sign him.
It would be wise of Spurs to make the signing as soon as possible, so that the Spaniard has time to integrate into the team ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.
