Manchester United have officially confirmed that they have completed the signing of Spanish wonderkid Arnau Puigmal from Spanish side Espanyol.
Puigmal, who is a midfielder, was spotted by Manchester United scouts at the Mediterranean International Cup, where he was named player of the tournament.
The Red Devils U18 coach Kieran McKenna was delighted after securing the signature of Puigmal, adding that he’s a talented youngster and will make the grade at the club.
McKenna told MUTV : ”He played for Espanyol against our Under-16s at the Med Cup in the second half of last season.
”He’s a really dynamic, technical midfield player who likes to drive forward and carry the ball.
”He can handle the ball really well and seems a lovely young man too. His English is coming along and he’s settling well, so I am sure he’ll enjoy his time at the club.”
Arnau Puigmal has been registered for the UEFA Youth League by Manchester United and will play with the number 22 jersey for their U19 squad.
