The first choice goalkeeper of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Francis Uzoho made an unhappy return to back to club football as he was sent off in the 23rd minute of Anorthosis Famagusta 3-0 win over Alki Oroklinis in the relegation playoff in Cyprus.
Uzoho was making his return from a one match ban slammed on him for using a fake health certificate to play in his debut game against Apollon Limassol, he was also fined 1,000 euros.
On loan from Spanish second division side Deportivo La Coruna Uzoho was sent off for unsportsmanlike behavior following his gesture to the fans of Alki Oroklinis, a minute after his team went two goals up.
Anorthosis are however expected to contest the suspension on the premises that the 20 year old Nigerian was provoked by the opposition fans and that led to his gesture.
Despite plans by Anorthosis to contest the red card, he could face further suspension if the FA deem his gesture to the fans as a provocative move which could lead to a breakdown of order on the pitch.
