Golden Eaglets coach Manu Garba says his wards will be up to the task when they face Angola in Wednesday’s second group game at the ongoing Africa U17 Cup of Nations in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The Eaglets edged Tanzania 5-4 in the opening group A encounter on Sunday and a win over Angola’s U17 see qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament and also book their tickets for the FIFA U17 World Cup slated for Brazil later this year.
Speaking ahead of the game, Coach Manu Garba said most of his boys are inexperienced, but they will learn as the competition goes on.
“Half of the boys in my team have not been on a plane before,” Garba revealed during his pre-match conference ahead of the game.
“They are inexperienced but we will take each game as it comes and ahead of the game against Angola, the team will be better and win.
In other group game, hosts Nation Tanzania will battle Uganda. Both sides lost their first game.
