Enyimba FC of Aba defender Valentine Ozornwafor has received a ringing endorsement from Levante forward Moses Simon owing to his performance in training with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Ozornwafor trained with the Super Eagles but didn’t make the match day squad for the game against Seychelles which Nigeria won 3-1 but Simon has seen enough of the left footed defender who is one of the stars of the Nigerian U20 team.
Simon in an exclusive chat with Sports&study.org said the 19 year old won him over with his calmness on the ball and his ability to read and intercept play with ease coupled with the fact that he is also very dominant in the air.
Expected to file out for the Nigeria U23 team when they take on Libya later today, Ozornwafor made the CAF Best XI of the recently concluded Africa U20 Cup of Nations where Nigeria finished fourth after losing the third place play offs to South Africa.
” I like him (Ozornwafor) a lot. He has a very good sense of reading play and very good in terms of positioning. He also very calm on the ball and I can’t remember anybody beating him in the air”, Simon told Sports&study.org.
” He need to keep working hard because these days talent alone is not enough. But in terms of his abilities he is supremely gifted and he will by the grace of God go places in the nearest future “.
