Manchester United and Real Madrid’s training base in LA has been evacuated due to a bomb scare, according to reports.
UCLA Students were told to leave the university at around 10pm local time, which is 6am UK time.
The LA Times reports that people were being led out of their dorms and toward the Drake Stadium, while residents were being advised to stay indoors.
UCLA spokesman Brian Haas had reassured everyone it was just “precautionary”, but 30 minutes after the evacuation, a second noticed alerted that the “situation is still active”.
United and Real Madrid had been at UCLA on Wednesday as both start their US tours in Los Angeles, but neither were present at the time of the evacuation.
The Red Devils will kick off their pre-season with a match against local side LA Galaxy on Saturday, before facing Real Salt Lake City on July 17.
