Juventus have confirmed that Mattia De Sciglio has arrived at the club for his medical ahead of a transfer from AC Milan.
Having lost Dani Alves on a free transfer to Paris Saint-Germain and with Alex Sandro heavily linked with a move to Chelsea, Juventus are in need of reinforcements on the defensive flanks.
The Old Lady recently sanctioned the surprise sale of Leonardo Bonucci to Milan and now a defender is moving in the opposite direction with De Sciglio set to sign for the Serie A champions.
The 24-year-old has arrived at the club of his medical, according to the Juventus official Twitter account, and could be confirmed as the team’s newest player as early as Wednesday afternoon.
When De Sciglio is confirmed he will become Juventus’ third new signing of the summer, following Douglas Costa and Rodrigo Bentancur to the Italian giants.
The versatile full-back played 25 times for Milan in Serie A last season but is likely to see first team action hard to come by at the San Siro in the new campaign after Ricardo Rodriguez and Andrea Conti moved to the side.
