Yesterday’s training session of the Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of the dead rubber AFCON 2019 Qualifiers tie against Seychelles on Friday witnessed top performance by some players.
Sports&study.org watched the session which was supervised by coach Gernot Rohr and his assistants. The session lasted close to two hours with all invited players playing a role for the entire duration.
Levante forward Moses Simon looked very sharp and was effective at both ends of the pitch particularly in defence. He also went past his markers with ease and delivered crosses with precision. Sure bet to start on Friday.
On loan Everton forward Henry Onyekuru did a lot of damage with the ball at his feet although he didn’t contribute in defending for his team. His pace and direct running at defenders made it hard for them to keep him in check.
Victor Osimhen carried his fine form in Belgium to the camp of the Super Eagles with back to back consistent display in training. His strength, aerial ability and skills saw him score three goals during the session.
