Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen grabbed his 13th goal of the season to help Sporting Charleroi to a 2-0 win over KVC Westerlo in the Belgian first division Europa league play-off on Sunday.
Osimhen who missed his side’s first two games of the playoff round, returned to the starting line-up at the Stade du pays de Charleroi.
The first half failed to produce goals with both teams headed into the break level on the score sheet but with the visitors down to 10 men as the visitor’s striker Stephen Buyl was sent off.
Sporting Charleroi broke the deadlock seven minutes after the hour mark through Adama Niane.
Osimhen added the second with strike from 30 yards which took a huge deflection on its way in to give his side all three points and second with in the playoff.
The win moves Charleroi to third on the Playoffs 2A table with six points after 4 matches.
