On loan Wolfsburg forward Victor Osimhen says his time at the German side prepared him for the task at Belgium side Charleroi where he has scored 12 league goals this season.
Osimhen failed to score in 18 months at Wolfsburg but the 20 year old who has been scoring goals for fun since moving to Belgium on loan said that spell in Germany toughened him up for the task in Belgium.
” In all situations you’ve to stay positive and hope for the best. My time in Germany wasn’t the best but I learnt a lot that am putting to use in Belgium right now “, Osimhen told Sports&study.org
” So many people doubted me so when I came to Belgium, I know the enormity of the task before me. The task of clearing the doubts about my quality made me to work extra hard and am happy it’s paying off”, he concluded.
Expected to play a part for the Super Eagles in the dead rubber AFCON 2019 Qualifiers and the subsequent friendly game against Egypt, Osimhen said the goal is to be part of the Super Eagles squad for the AFCON tournament in Egypt.
” The two games will no doubt present me with the chance of fighting for a spot in the squad for the Africa Cup of Nations. Hopefully I will get to play and make my mark”.
