Juventus have just sold Leonardo Bonucci to AC Milan but the Old Lady is now trying to get back on track signing one new centre-back as well as a centre midfielder.
Former Arsenal star Szczesny had his medical with the Serie A giants yesterday, whilst Mattia De Sciglio is having his medical tests now. Both players will join Juventus in a € 12 million deal plus add-ons.
The Serie A giants are also looking for a new centre midfielder and although La Gazzetta dello Sport claims Chelsea star Nemanja Matic is Juventus’ priority target, Tuttosport believes the bianconeri have made an opening bid to sign Liverpool’s Emre Can.
The contract of the Germany International expires in June 2018 and he has yet to reach an economic agreement with the Reds.
Juventus are reported to have offered €25 million to sign the 23-year-old who will see his current deal at Anfield Road expire in 11 months.
Meantime, AS Roma want to challenge Juve for the Serie A title and after the signing of Gregoire Defrel, the giallorossi have set sights on wantaway Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez.
We had already reported a few days ago that the player has given his green light to move to the Olimpico. Il Corriere dello Sport reports the details of Mahrez’s agreement with the Serie A giants.
The Italian paper claims Mahrez has agreed a five-year, € 3 million-a-year deal (plus add-ons). The giallorossi, however, have yet to reach an agreement with Leicester and still according to Il Corriere dello Sport, the two parties could close a deal for a fee close to € 30 million.
