Leicester City are said to have had an offer accepted for the Arsenal midfielder.
Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has rejected a move to Leicester City, according to The Sun.
The tabloid claims the Foxes had seen a £10 million bid for Elneny accepted by Arsenal, who allowed him to discuss personal terms with the 2015-16 Premier League champions.
But the Egyptian is said to have declined the chance to move to the King Power Stadium, as he ‘loves life’ in London and is happy to remain an Arsenal player even if his opportunities continue to be limited.
A £5 million capture from FC Basel 18 months ago, Elneny started just eight times in last season’s Premier League and only 12 times overall.
Leicester have already added in Elneny’s position this summer, recruiting Sevilla’s Vicente Iborra for a reported fee of £15 million.
Nevertheless, The Sun reports the Foxes could yet return for the 25-year-old this summer, with the tabloid also claiming – albeit separately [19 July, 54] – that the Leicestershire side are looking to offload 2016 signing Nampalys Mendy.
