The Liverpool star is a transfer target for Juventus, according to reports.
According to Italian media outlet Tutto Mercato Web, Juventus are prepared to pay the Reds £21.8 million for Emre Can this summer.
The 23-year-old has just one year remaining on his current deal at Anfield, so Liverpool might just be tempted to sell the German, rather than risk losing him for nothing next year.
He joined the Merseyside outfit from Bayer Leverkusen three years ago, for a fee believed to be in the region of £10 million, and has proven to be a divisive character amongst Reds fans.
He has displayed his genuine quality for Liverpool, but not on a consistent enough basis, and it could be argued that £21.8 million represents fantastic business for the Reds.
Tutto Mercato Web claim that Massimiliano Allegri sees Can as the ideal addition for his squad at Juventus this summer, and will tempt Liverpool into selling with what he believes is a perfectly reasonable offer for the German.
Whether Klopp is willing to sell the midfielder though remains to be seen, but if the club fail to tie him down to a new long-term contract, they will surely look to recoup whatever kind of cash they can for the 23-year-old.
