Paderborn of Germany left full back Jamilu Collins says he is beginning to settle down into the team of the Super Eagles after providing two assists in the 3-1 win over Seychelles on Friday.
Collins provided the pass for the second and third goal scored by Henry Onyekuru and Moses Simon respectively in the dead rubber AFCON 2019 Qualifiers tie.
Speaking on his performance, the 24 year old said he is pleased with his showing particularly going forward and believe he is slowly showing why he is in the team to many who doubted him.
” It’s lovely when as a defender you have two assists in one game. I really think overall we played better as a team not just myself. The whole team wanted the win and we got it. Personally I’m beginning to settle down and understanding the movement of my teammates “, Collins told Sports&study.org.
” Maybe my performance will change some opinion in the mind of those who doubted me but this is just one game. I need more games and better performance to win my doubters over. I think Nigerians are beginning to see the real me”.
