TRANSFER NEWS is in full flow with Premier League spending building towards the £1BILLION mark – here Express Sport brings you all the latest.
Anthony Martial’s cousin has confirmed Inter Milan are interested in the Manchester United star.
Reports suggested France international Martial could be open to leaving Old Trafford in order to gain regular playing time ahead of next year’s World Cup.
And talk of Martial potentially being on the move has intensified over the last week with United trying to secure Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.
But Martial’s cousin, who goes by @JemaMtl_22 on Twitter, posted: “I confirm the interest of Inter for Antho. But his head is in Manchester and he is focused on a good pre-season,” he tweeted.
10:15: Have Chelsea dropped the biggest hint yet that Nemanja Matic will be heading to Manchester United?
The Serbian has been left out of the 25-man squad travelling to China for their pre-season tour.
Matic has been strongly linked with a move to the Red Devils and Chelsea have given no explanation on why the midfielder has missed the tour.
Arsene Wenger will try and sign Karim Benzema from Real Madrid should Alexis Sanchez force his way out of Arsenal.
Sanchez wants to quit the Emirates for Champions League football with Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain.
Wenger is refusing to publicly countenance selling the Chilean, but is planning to move for Benzema if he does go.
And according to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Arsenal’s chances of landing long-term target Benzema have been boosted with Real boss Zinedine Zidane promising Cristiano Ronaldo he will play as the club’s main striker this season.
Leicester have completed the signing of Hull goakeeper Eldin Jakupovic for a fee of around £2.5m.
Jakupovic, 32, said: “I knew from the beginning that it will be difficult for myself because Kasper [Schmeichel] is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League.
“I’m going to fight and I’m here to push. A healthy competition is always good and that’s only a positive thing. For sure, I’ll wait for my chance but I am here and I’m very excited.”
RB Leipzig have rejected a fresh £66.4m bid for Naby Keita.
The German side are desperate to keep the midfielder but Liverpool’s interest won’t go away.
The Reds previously had a £57m bid rejected and now appear to have upped the ante – but have been given the same answer.
The Bundesliga club’s owner Dietrich Mateschitz told German publication Bild: “Lately we got a €75m offer for Naby Keita. No way! He has a contract and he will accomplish it.
“To sell him would not only be a proof of distrust to our fans but also the wrong sign for our players like Timo Werner, who is in demand too.”
