West Ham United remain interested in bring Stoke City’s star man Marko Arnautovic to the London Stadium, according to ClubCall.
The media outlet claims the Hammers want to bring the Austria international to the capital, however a deal is thought to be far from complete.
West Ham are believed to have already had a bid of around £10 million rejected by the Potters, however there has not been anything officially announced in regards of a potential transfer.
Slaven Bilic is a keen admirer of the 28-year-old and sees him as an ideal target to bring to the London Stadium to help improve his current squad.
The Croatian manager is desperate for his side to improve upon last season’s disappointing campaign, in which they finished in 11th place having suffered a difficult year.
Star man Dmitri Payet had caused Bilic major problems in early January, reportedly refusing to play for the team and trying to force a move back to his boyhood club of Marseille, before injury problems hit the Hammers as well.
Strikers Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho both suffered injuries during the campaign, limiting the potential goal threat the Irons had, which is a key priority for the club to focus on.
Arnoutovic has continuously impressed for the Potters since his arrival in 2013 from Werder Bremen, having scored 26 goals and creating a further 32 across his 145 appearances for them.
His form for Stoke had seen him rewarded with a new deal only last summer, in which he extended his contract for a further four years, which would make it seem difficult for West Ham to have an offer accepted for him.
However, it appears that will not deter Bilic from trying to get one of his transfer targets this season, having only brought in Pablo Zabaleta on a free from Manchester City, as it is rumoured the club will make a bid in the coming days.
